Happy Febraury 7th!

We had a very fun Tuesday!
Reading: In reading today we introduced our new sight word: is.  We sang our new song, and learned the letters that we use to spell it.  We colored in our letter book (N) while Ms. Jordin read from our new Jack and Annie Book:

We worked on our poke page for sight word is, which helped us on our small motor hand muscles!  We then completed our comprehension story titled The Race, where we worked on recalling information from a story read to us. We then worked on tracing letter N, while focusing on starting our writing at the top of the line and working our way down.
Word Study: For word study today, we worked in our interactive notebook, with a word the children enjoyed: funny. We worked on building it, coloring it, and reading it.  We also focused very hard today when cutting out our materials on staying on the line, and making our strokes fluid and relaxed.
Writing: We revisited letter Cc in our writing today, and I have to say that I am very pleased with how neat our handwriting has become.  Remember, never hesitate to ask to see examples of their handwriting.  I keep them here for records, and to see progress over time.  However I would always love to share their hard work with you!
Gym: In gym today we did a brand new cosmic kids yoga!  The video is below :)

 

We then enjoyed a very fun pizza party today, we watched Charlotte's Web brought in by Abigail.  For lunch we had cheese pizza, Jell-O cups with whipped cream from Kendall, blue berries from Abby, cantaloupe from Megan, and juice pouches from Harrison.
